Automobiles in German City Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police stated they were contacted by a resident who found a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish liquid

Around 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Vehicles, exterior walls and mailboxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a statement.

Law enforcement state they were contacted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then found numerous other vandalized cars and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement report initial examinations indicate the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; officials are presently not informed of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they commented.

City officials said they were attempting "to solve the incident" and have requested to the residents for tips.

A senior official stated the attack left him speechless and had to be solved quickly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on social media, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a assailant targeting residents of foreign heritage in five years prior.
